The 80s influence in your art is killing me in the best way.

Oh man, I have gone into the deep end again. I really, really want a white jacket encrusted with pink diamantes.

So I’ve had Queen’s “One Vision” on repeat for the past two hours. Here’s some glam blue rock ladies.

amindy07 replied to your photo: So I watched this amazing documentary on Queen…

Whats the name of the doc?! I have a goal to watch 50 this year at my review tumblr YankeeSouth. Just started and looking for recommendations!!

God I honestly can’t remember….I think maybe something like “Queen: Days of Our Lives” or something? It was really very good, lots of archive footage and no narration, just interviews from the band!

So I watched this amazing documentary on Queen last night and I had no idea they did half of these songs that I really love. So here’s some of my little character Astroid being all rock and stuff.

I think this is more therapy for myself than anything else, but I thought it might be kinda helpful for anybody else out there who might be feeling the same way.
When I was 16, I freaked out about everything - I guess like most teenagers do. And also like most teenagers, I skipped a lot of school and went to watch Disney movies. Or maybe that was just me. But in any case, I know if I could go back and say anything to myself, it’d be some of these things. It took me a long time to get my life under control after high school, but I finally feel like I’m in a somewhat pretty awesome place and I have the (kind of but not really) ability to look back and see that I did some cool stuff, some of which was a direct route from the “bad” things I did in high school.
Like reading Batman comics when I was supposed to be studying.
And failing maths.
But that’s another story.
(Also wow, I have terrible handwriting. I’m sorry!)

Some Prince-inspired Joker. Again. Yeesh, I need some new ideas.

So yesterday I sat and watched 5 hours of 30 Rock after buying it on DVD. I think I have everyone’s voices engrained into my mind now.
New mission: get Jack McBrayer to see this. I would love anyone who can get it to him a thousand times over!

Trying out something new….remember when cartoons in the 90’s were super stylised and cool?
